Probably one of the coolest things to come out of the easing lockdown, a drive-in cinema tour is making its way around the UK – and it’s even visiting the East Yorkshire town of Driffield. Set to take place over the summer (reducing the risk of rain!), the drive-in will show a mixture of old and new films that people will be able to watch from the safety of their cars.

Taking place at Driffield Showground, some of the films scheduled on the list are 80s classics such as Dirty Dancing, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Labyrinth, The Goonies and The Blues Brothers. Other family treats such as Grease, The Lion King, Cool Runnings and The Greatest Showman will also be shown. And not only that, but if you’re a bit of a film boffin, some critically acclaimed 90s films like Pulp Fiction and Jurassic Park as well as new releases Joker and Knives Out are scheduled to be shown – providing a little something for everyone.

The drive-in is a great way to experience the cinema in a wholly unique way – and for parents, it might be a nice throwback to dating back in the day. Either way, this unique experience is well worth a venture out of the house. The event takes place on 4th-6th of July so you will need to get tickets quick before they sell out! Tickets are £27.50 per car.
