It’s almost time to be jovial. We just need to get Halloween out of the way – and then it’s all things Christmas. And, we like to plan our Christmas fun early, so we don’t miss out on any of the best Christmas events. With that in mind, Leeds Christmas Market has announced it will be back this winter after its successful return for Christmas 2024.
This year’s Leeds Christmas Market will see 70 traditional stalls selling everything Xmas. From local, and national to international. It will all be found across Millenium Square and City Square. It’s expected that hundreds of thousands of people will flock to Leeds city centre once again.
When is Leeds Christmas Market?

The festive market in Leeds will start at the end of November running from from November 22nd until December 22nd, and as well as hosting a wide range of festive food and drinks, and outdoor bars, it will also host a range of pop-up musical performances at the main location at Victoria Gardens.
There will also be a range of trade stalls selling unique gifts, crafts and treats from around the world for those looking for special offerings this year.
Also no to the missed on Bond Court, just off Park Row, you’ll find Little Bird hosting an artisan market with a range of independent producers and makers every Saturday and Sunday while the Christmas markets are on.
And of course, the Ice Cube at Christmas ice skating rink will return. Operated by Market Place at this year’s Leeds Christmas Market.
Market manager Nirmal Bassi said: “After carefully considering feedback from both visitors and traders, we’ve made exciting improvements to the market layout. We’re delighted to be back, bringing the festive sights, sounds, and aromas of Christmas to the city.”
Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s deputy leader and executive member for economy, transport and sustainable development, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming the Christmas market back to Leeds after such an exciting and successful debut year last year.
“The festive season is always a very special time in Leeds, and it’s great to see thousands of people coming together to experience Christmas at the heart of the city and to making such great use of the newly redeveloped City Square space.”
