He went to check out the Magpie Cafe due to its five thousand five star reviews on TripAdvisor. It holds a 4.5 rating on the popular review site as well.

It’s located on Pier Road and is an impressive four-storey restaurant that is praised by locals and tourists alike. In his video Tim ordered a battered cod, chips and mushy peas for £14.95 along with a cup of Yorkshire Tea.

The YouTuber praised the cafe for its presentation and described the batter on the fish melting in his mouth. After his experience he was willing to offer a ten out of ten for his experience proving that the famous fish & chip spot lives up the hype that surrounds it.

Speaking about his experience he said: “I’ve never seen fish quite like that it was pure white I couldn’t see any dark bits – in fact parts of it looked like chicken. It was very succulent very juicy not dry at all. The batter, although it wasn’t beer batter had a really nice taste to it and it really did melt in my mouth… I would definitely give that a 10 out of 10.”

This is not the first time the fish & chip cafe has been given the gold medal. National Geographic, known for its photojournalism, it is one of the most widely read magazines of all time – and it named the Yorkshire chippy as its number one choice out of nine chip shops in the UK.
