‘Happy Valley’ James Norton Set To Guest Appear In BBC Comedy As First Look Images Released

You couldn’t get further away from the BBC crime drama Happy Valley with James Norton’s latest role. He’s gone from murderous villain to featuring in the BBC Three Comedy series Jerk.

Norton is showing yet another string on his bow of many talents appearing alongside BAFTA-nominated Tim Renkow in the critically acclaimed comedy series Jerk.

Following the life of Tim, a man who knows what that have cerebral palsy means he can get away with almost anything.

Tim Renkow says: “It was great to be back with the old crew and some new faces, they were all unbelievably excellent and so much fun to work with”

The synopsis for the BBC Three comedy reads “Tim has cerebral palsy, which means that people judge him, and his crumpled tissue of a body. But usually, they judge him wrongly. Because what they don’t realise is that inside that severely disabled, fragile body is a bit of an asshole.”

We can’t wait to see the North Yorkshire man from Malton appear in more incredible shows. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that he’s proved himself worthy of the role of James Bond, which he is still very much in the running for.

Don’t miss Sally Wainwright’s new show set in 18th century England, The Ballad of Renegade Nell is a new Disney Plus drama which sees Sally team up with Amanda Brotchie, the director of Gentleman Jack once more.

Based around the “quick-witted and courageous” Nell Jackson who has been framed for murder and finds herself becoming the 18th century’s most notorious highwaywoman.

The programme has no release date yet but The Ballad of Renegade Nell is set to be released sometime this year – so we won’t have to wait too long.
