As we all head to the coast this summer, we will all be ready for some fish & chips by the seaside with an ice cream chaser, but if you’re looking for something different this retro 50s diner near Harry’s Diner in Filey is the one.
Harry’s Diner in Filey is a real throwback to old-fashioned American diners with so many nods to American history throughout the restaurant.
Its menu has some classic diner foods like massive cheeseburgers with smash patties topped with tomatoes, and sliced onion and salad with fries and creamy milkshakes. They have huge racks of ribs with a load of fries and tasty chicken and waffles.

It was the milkshakes that got our attention though made with proper ice cream and topped with whipped cream. They were definitely worth the calories that’s for sure.

Enjoy your meal whilst chilling in the classic booth seating that you’d expect whilst taking in the vintage collectables scattered around the place.
Harry’s Diner is a cool 1950s experience in Filey is not only a perfect place for families, but the food is delicious too, which is always a Brucey bonus.
They also do takeaway, so if you’re staying in the area you can order some great fast food right to your door. This beats your standard takeaway that’s for sure.
We loved the decor with the vintage records and old-fashioned snaps of Marilyn Monrow and Elvis Presley on the wall.
Not only that but they even had two vintage cars parked up as well along with the US flag bunting huge figures such as American football players and old pilots that really added to the effect of the place along with the playlist of 1950s bangers playing whilst you eat.
If you feel like heading back in time and enjoying a hint of those movie moments like the musical Grease then make sure you visit this spot when you head over to the seaside this summer! We are sure you won’t be disappointed.
