Indie Favourites Named As Headliners At Piece Hall For Summer 2026

Halifax’s iconic Piece Hall, fast becoming the best venue to watch some of the biggest acts from across the world, has unveiled another huge name for its 2026 summer line-up in the form of indie rockers The K’s, who will headline their first-ever show at the historic venue.

The band have made waves in the UK music scene and their second album Pretty on The Internet shot straight to the top of the UK charts last month, cementing their status as one of the country’s fastest-rising acts. They’ve graced The Piece Hall stage already, supporting Blondie and James – but return this time for their own headline slot on Saturday, 8th August 2026.

Frontman Jamie Boyle couldn’t hide his excitement about the announcement, saying: “The Piece Hall – what a venue. We can’t wait to be back, it’s going to be some night!”

The K’s burst onto the scene with their debut album I Wonder if the World Knows?, in 2024. It became the UK’s biggest debut LP of the year, and they have gone from strength to strength, touring Europe and selling out venues across the UK.

Nicky Chance-Thompson MBE DL, CEO of The Piece Hall Charitable Trust, said: “The K’s are one of the most talked about bands right now – from sold-out tours to topping the UK album charts – and we have welcomed them on stage here no fewer than four times. We are delighted they’ll be back next summer for their very first headline show – they truly deserve to be topping the bill at The Piece Hall. It’s going to be a great night!”

Their latest record, produced by Grammy Award winner Jim Lowe and mixed by Pete Hutchings, has already sold more than 25,000 copies, which is nearly 10,000 more than its closest rival. Showing that The K’s are ready to put on a show.

They join David Gray and special guests The Divine Comed for The Piece Hall summer season. If you’d like to go, tickets go on sale 9:30am Friday 19th September via The Piece Hall’s website here.
