If you’re looking for a good value romantic holiday in Yorkshire with some great views that are that little bit different from those of your average hotel, then these huts will be a bit of you. And for those very reasons, we’ve fallen in love with this quaint farm hut in North Yorkshire.
As outdoors people who love their home comforts, it’s the perfect spot surrounded by nature. It has all the basics covered, including a double bed, fridge for the wine, kettle for a nice brew and a cosy bed (and heating – which is needed in the UK at all times). The hut also has a lovely en-suite shower and toilet, and the place is very eye-catching and cool with its minimalist style. Basically, it ticks all the right boxes.
Peddero at Waingates Farm Huts can be found tucked away in the Roecliffe countryside, with Harrogate just a short drive away for those looking for a bit of an adventure. Roecliffe has its own picturesque pub, The Crown Inn, and just a short walk away from Boroughbridge, a couple of miles down the road is a nice choice of restaurants and pubs if you don’t fancy cooking.
But, if you don’t want to go anywhere, you can stay in and enjoy your hut, thanks to its gorgeous designer Japanese Ofuro Wood Burning Hot Tub, where you can relax with a cheeky glass of something special. And, perfect for winter, the hut has a fire pit to keep you warm while you snuggle under a blanket of stars.
We love to take our dog away with us when we go on our little adventures, and dog owners can rejoice in the fact that this little romantic retreat is dog friendly. All they ask for is an extra £10 a night to bring your little woofer along with you.
Depending on what time of year, it’s around £115-£185 a night to stay in the beautiful hut. And with all the little treats it has to offer, we’re already inspired for our next getaway. After all, there’s nothing better than a Yorkshire staycation – whether you’re a local to God’s own country, or just visiting our beautiful home, its a great choice to spend some downtime.
