Whether it’s your guilty pleasure or a consequence of being on the internet, we’ve all heard of Lady Whistledown. She’s the talk of the Ton. The being behind the most scandalous gossip of the season, and as it turns out, Yorkshire is getting it’s very own.

Hosted by the aptly named Lady Wonderdown, Impossible York is set to host the event of the year that’s sure to be the talk of the Ton: a bottomless afternoon tea that’s certainly worthy of a Bridgerton.
Taking place on the 9th July, the ‘Wonderton Brunch’ will see guests enjoy delicious finger food and cakes, alongside the city’s ‘finest’ bottomless bubbles, cocktails, wine and more.

If that didn’t sound fancy enough already, the event will also include performances by a fantastic string quartet, who’ll be taking modern classics back to the 1800s with classical renditions of tracks by Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and more (a la Bridgerton, of course!).
Live dancers will be getting the party started in their best regency attire as they promenade across the room, while guests will also be encouraged to don their “finest garments” for the occasion.
In true Impossible-style, guests can also expect plenty of theatrics throughout the event, with “theatrical debutant debauchery” from their cast of Lords, Earls, the Queen, heirs, ladies and gentlemen.

Costing just £45pp, Impossible will host just two sessions on the day, meaning if you want to attend the soiree of the season, you’ll want to get tickets quick. Find out more here.
Impossible can be found in the old Terry’s building in York, boasting stunning Victorian features that make for the perfect regal photo opps.
