Prime Video the home of Clarkson’s Farm recently announced its start date for the third series, which we see our pals on Diddly Squat Farm back on our screens to entertain us in on of the streaming services’ most binge-worthy shows.
And, along with the fame of the show, an unlikely star was made. Kaleb Cooper was a standout character on the farm with his ability to make fun of new farmer Clarkson and his abilities – or lack of on the farm located in the Cotswolds.
The knowledge he brought proved much needed to the green farmer Jeremy – but the Grand Tour presenter has displayed concerns for Kaleb’s long term future in the farming industry expressing his doubts.
The 63-year-old has shown that he’s worried about the government’s treatment of the industry and the uncertainty that lies within it.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: : “Kaleb’s fantastic but it worries me how he’ll ever be able to afford his own farm. He’s up against hedge fund managers now who don’t necessarily want to farm it.”

He stated taht the UK’s self-sufficiency is “right at the bottom of the end of where you want to go” stating that the country is capable of being 80% self-sufficient.
Clarkson spoke at the National Farmers Union event recently and said: “We can’t see the Germans coming across the Channel or the Chinese, but we still maintain a significant air force, army and navy.
“Surely if you’re going to maintain that level of defence to protect us, you would want to protect our food supply. It should be as much encouragement as possible from the Government to the farmers to actually get it back up a bit.”
Adding: “If you’re thinking about the country as a whole and looking after the people in it, you have to look after the farmers who provide the food.”
