This Leeds Restaurant Makes Tasty Pasta In A Massive Wheel Of Cheese

If there are two things I can’t go without, it’s cheese and carbs. The melty cheesy goodness enhances any meal—and as for carbs, who wants to eat a meal without them? That’s why Italian food is the best. It uses both of my favourite food groups in the best way ever. Pasta is one of the best things to exist on the planet, and I’ll eat it in its many forms.

This spot in Leeds, Livin’ Italy, located on Granary Wharf under the atmospheric railway arches overlooking the waters of Leeds-Liverpool Canal, has been getting rave reviews for its fantastic array of authentic Italian dishes. From its fantastic street food menu to its great pasta dishes, one dish in particular has been getting a lot of attention.

Served tableside, you can enjoy this fantastic cheese wheel dish that’s like no other. The truffle pici cacio e pepe, which translates as cheese and pepper, is created by torching the inside of Pecorino and tossing the fresh pasta in the melted cheese and pepper sauce before topping with shaved Italian truffles. I know, it sounds dreamy—and I need it as soon as humanly possible.

In addition to their cheese wheel dish, Livin’ Italy also serves up a range of other authentic Italian dishes, including pizzas, pasta, a creative Italian street food menu, and more. All run by a family business that started in Milan in the ’80s by the current owner’s parents.
