People of Yorkshire rejoice, the drought is almost over. Throw away your homemade Big Mac‘s and chuck those frozen nuggets in the bin. Because McDonald’s has just announced that they’ll be re-opening, and sooner rather than later!
Starting with just 15 stores, the much-loved fast-food chain will be serving their menu via delivery only, with CEO Paul Pomroy saying: “When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal.”
Continuing: “I want to apologise in advance if our first wave of reopened restaurants does not serve your area. Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind.
“Slowly, but safely, we will return to towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, and thank you for your continued support as we work through this crisis.”
McDonald’s is yet to confirm which stores will be part of the initial re-opening plan, however, are set to announce these next week. C’mon Maccie’s, throw us Yorkshire folk a bone!
