There is a chance that January could be the time that we finally get into shape, a bit part of that is down to the news last night that McDonald’s released a statement confirming all its chains will remain close as of 11 pm last night.
Every single McDonald’s restaurant across the nation will partially close due to the third national lockdown. Their doors will likely remain closed temporarily throughout lockdown for both walk-in and ordering take away through other apps. So, for those that were ready to get their Big Tasty fix, you’ll have to use the drive-thru or order direct to your home through McDelivery on their McDonald’s app.
McDonald’s tweeted: “Following the government announcements, we are pleased to remain open, but with a few changes… We know this is a really difficult time for everyone and we really appreciate your patience and kindness, both with our crew and online.”
“Our restaurants across the UK and Ireland will remain open for Drive-thru and McDelivery… Click & Serve through the My Mcdonald’s app will be available at our Drive-thru restaurants.
“Dine-in and walk-in services will be temporarily closed in all restaurants from 11 pm tonight while we review and verify any additional safety measures for these services.”
“With smaller teams and social distancing in the kitchen, it will take longer to serve you”.
The statement reasoned: “Our restaurant teams are working incredibly hard in difficult circumstances, your kindness and patience is greatly appreciated.”
