NASA Reveals Exact Time ‘Santa’s Sleigh’ Will Be Flying Over Yorkshire This Christmas

Crimbo is getting nearer – and soon Santa will be filling up his sleigh ready to start his trip around the world. Children young and old will be eagerly waiting in anticipation for his arrival. Santa well be ready for his seasonal treat of a mince pie and carrot for reindeer left out at each household.

And, getting a glimpse of Santa’s slight in the night sky over Yorkshire has become much easier as NASA unveils the big man’s Christmas morning rounds. The space agency has given the exact time that you can look up into the night sky to have a gander.

Interestingly, the sleigh’s lights will coincide with the visibility of the International Space Station, which has recently become a prominent feature in the night sky. NASA distinguishes it from an airplane by noting that the ‘sleigh’ maintains a consistent direction and lacks flashing lights.

These celestial displays will be visible to the naked eye at specific times in the upcoming days. So, if there are early risers in your household, consider gathering together to try and spot Santa for yourselves.

NASA explains,” it’s the third brightest object in the sky and easy to spot if you know when to look up. It’s visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and travelling thousands of miles an hour faster.”

To aid in locating the Space Station (or ‘Santa’s sleigh’), you can utilise the ISS tracking app available on the App Store or visit NASA’s website for more information.
