Channel 5 have always been the ones to celebrate the Yorkshire way of life with shows like The Yorkshire Vet and Our Yorkshire Farm that attract huge audiences. Viewers love to see the trails and daily life up in the rolling hills of Yorkshire. And, now Channel 5 is looking for new farm contestants in Yorkshire.
These shows have become so popular thanks to the likeability factor of their presenters such as The Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen, Peter Wright and the lads of Cannon Hall Farm, which have all for their own decent social media following and have become influencers in their own right.
But now the station’s bosses and producers have announced they’re now on the hunt for new participants to appear in an upcoming series of On The Farm.
Taking to Twitter to issue a plea for Christmas On The Farm, the broadcaster wrote: “FARMERS OF THE UK, WE NEED YOU.
“We’re delighted that a BRAND NEW series of SPRINGTIME ON THE FARM will be COMING SOON to your screens and we want to see videos of what’s happening on YOUR farms this spring!
“No matter how big or small your operation, create a short film sharing with us how spring has been for you, send it in and you could be featured on the show.”
Channel 5 is looking for new farm contestants in Yorkshire to see farmers and gain an insight into their farm, which means meeting their team and the real stars of the shows their beloved animals.
This new opportunity gives farmers their five minutes of fame, and a chance to be in the limelight. And, who knows, you could be scouted like Amanda Owen was on Ben Foden’s Lives In The Wild.
On The Farm is filmed on Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley, presented by Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson, who document the day-to-day lives of farming brothers Rob and Dave Nicholson.
