There was some upsetting news on last night’s, Our Yorkshire Farm. The Channel 5 show said goodbye to an old friend. Their pony Little Joe passed away in the night, and Amanda Owen, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, has to share the news with her young children.

After heading to the ponies in the morning, the Channel 5 star found that Little Joe sadly hadn’t woken up. The show is known for its life lessons to learn through farming, and this was one of those moments. Amanda was teary as she shared the news with Clemmy, five and Nancy, four of whose job it is to care for the ponies.
Nancy, the youngest, was worried about Tony’s fate asking, “Is that pony going to die?” pointing towards him. To which Amanda explained that Tony was still young and that Little Joe had died of old age.

“What happened? Did he get old to die?” Nancy asked.
“He just obviously had a heart attack,” said Amanda.
Schoolgirl Clemmy commented: “Well, one good thing, I’ve looked after him really well.”
Her mother responded: “You did look after him really well.”
Raven came home from university to say bye to her old friend. She and her brothers reminisced about his younger years with Raven sharing her experiences of learning to ride, to life lessons such as not picking your nose whilst riding.

“They’re all really upset about it,” she added before oldest child Raven came home from university to say goodbye to the family friend.
Amanda explained: “Raven’s really upset about losing Little Joe. He’s been a continuous presence in her life.”
Raven and the younger children decorated a tree trunk as a memorial for the deceased pet. It was a heartwarming episode and another example of why the show is one of Channel 5’s number one shows.
