For a lot of us, a nice cold pint has been like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow after lockdown. Crowded beer gardens, brunches and big booze ups with the boys are all pipe dreams under the current lockdown guidelines and it looks like this might be the case for some time.
We have tried to ease the burden by looking at ways you can enjoy your time at home with things like Aldi’s cheap hot tubs, BBQ’s and other garden accessories to add some fun to your summer. But nothing beats the great British pub and the idea that it might not be as we remember it after the period of self-isolation, thanks to COVID-19, really is a hard pill to swallow.

The Mirror have reported that, pub landlords may be asked to ration alcohol to two or three pints limit per customer. Some of the well seasoned drinkers may think that they could easily sup three pints upon arrival at the bar so the limit will come as a shock and is sure to cause upset.
Emma McClarkin, chief executive of the British Beer and Pub Association, has said they’re looking to the Government as to when pubs can ‘go back to business’ and ‘how they will be able to operate’. She has said how staff safety is a priority and it is the ‘highest priority how to keep staff safe while maintaining the pub experience.’
