Ride A Harry Potter-Themed Steam Train Through Yorkshire This Summer

The Harry Potter films are now as memorable and iconic as the books themselves. And, Yorkshire played a great part in the aesthetic in the films, with some of its historic places being featured in some of the films classic moments.

One of the most iconic moments is the first day back to Hogwarts, where they would board the Hogwarts Express back to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. Now, you can board those same carriages this summer – how exciting!

The crimson carriages featured in the Harry Potter films will take you on a journey across the Settle and Carlisle line. The carriages were carefully restored to their former glory, and you can feel like a young wizard as you zip across the North Yorkshire countryside hauled by a beautifully restored steam locomotive from your departure points.

You’ll enjoy some of the most impressive views Yorkshire has to offer such as the Yorkshire Dales and the famous Ribblehead Viaduct as you head towards Carlisle.

A spokesman said: “The 72-mile Settle-Carlisle line has been voted the second greatest railway journey in the world.

“In previous years we have run our popular Dalesman trip over a similar route, picking up passengers at Preston and Skipton.
