A Gin Cinema Is Coming To North Yorkshire This Summer

Gin & movies in the sun sound like a fun combination to me. Set n the Bramcote Playing Field in Scarborough, it sounds like the most idyllic summer to me. You can take in the beautiful views and classic films whilst chilling out in a deck chair or bean bag with a refreshing G&T – bliss.

Nightflix Gin Cinema will be on from the 18th June to June 20th and then 27th August to 30th August. You can expect to enjoy a range of gin and mixers whilst watching classic films such as Mamma MiaA Star Is Born and The Greatest Showman

The immersive experience, which will have social distancing in place, will play these classic films on a huge outdoor LED screen. After a year of lockdowns, this will be welcome freedom that is great for all the family to enjoy.

Ben Stonehouse, CEO of Gin Cinema said: “ Scarborough was very welcoming to the Gin Cinema experience in 2020 and we’re thrilled to return this summer. It promises to allow audiences to relax and enjoy some of their favourite movies while expanding their gin horizons!”

He added: “Viewers can enjoy a wide range of gins and mixers, along with a fully stocked bar for any non-gin drinkers with a wide range of soft drinks. There will also be a selection of hot food and sweet treats available.”

The event will once again be supporting Saint Catherine’s Hospice, in Scarborough which provides services for free in the North and East Yorkshire area.

Susan Stephenson, Communications and Marketing Manager at the hospice, said: “We are delighted that Nightflix Gin Cinema will be once again supporting Saint Catherine’s with its outdoor cinema events at Bramcote playing field. Donations from our supporters out in the community are vital in ensuring that we can continue to provide outstanding care, free of charge, to patients and their families.”
