Stuck for something to do this weekend? Why not head out to Sheffield’s newest food hall that is being called the ‘ultimate street food dining experience in Sheffield’. The new addition to the Steel City’s culinary landscape, Sheffield Plate Food Hall, has made its home over two floors in Orchard Square.
The city centre venue has six street food vendors and two bars that serve an array of drinks, making up the new Sheffield Plate food hall. It’s the place to be this weekend as it opens up today. You can expect amazing food and drink from around the world as well as live entertainment.
The food offerings are inspired by countries such as Sri Lanka, Romania, Peru, Thailand and Portugal – as well as from across the UK. Taste Peru is one of the new street food vendors who have taken up residence in the Sheffield Plate Hall. They serve up a taste of Peru using I use four varieties of homegrown Peruvian chillies and a secret family recipe, handed down over generations yum.
Another vendor taking up space is Wingin’ It, which serve up the highest quality wings with a range of succulent, delicious flavours inspired by the world (they even have vegan wings)! They have ‘Sticky Icky’ BBQ and Salt n’ Pepper’ wings – both have us salivating at the mouth – needing to try these bad boys out!
All this food is going to need to be washed down with something and with two bars – we are sure there will be some fantastic cocktails and beers on tap to try.
