Si King Shares The Hairy Bikers Final Project with Dave Myers In Emotional Post

Si King announced the final project he and fellow Hairy Biker co-star Dave Myers had worked on in an emotional post to Instagram. Dave sadly passed away at age 66 in February and the Si took to social media to promote their latest book ‘Fast and Fresh’ revealing how ‘very proud’ his co-star was of their creation.

In his video, Si said: “Hello everyone, it’s Si here. Fast and Fresh from The Hairy Dieters is available tomorrow. Thank you if you pre-ordered, it’s hugely appreciated. It was a book that Dave and I really loved working on, so yeah there’s 80 delicious and easy recipes, easy as I know we’re all pushed for time these days. I don’t know how that happens but we just are aren’t we.

“It’s a lovely book and we had the greatest of joy working on it together. Dave was very proud of it, so here it is. Lots of love to you all.”

Si also thanked fans for their continued support that “doesn’t go unnoticed”. He wrapped up his post by saying: “Lots of love and I hope you enjoy Fast and Fresh.”

Earlier this month, Si King, the TV chef thanked those that took part in the memorial motorcycle ride in honour of the late Dave Myers who made up the other half of the popular Hairy Bikers. In a post to social media King said that Dave “would have loved it”.

Thousands of bikers made the journey from Beverley in East Yorkshire, up the coast to Scarborough and Whitby following a similar route the the Hairy Bikers drove on their programme. It’s said that around 6,000 riders turned up – some travelling as far as from Scotland and Wales.
