If you’re looking for a truly unique dining experience in Yorkshire, then this hidden woodland feast might just be one to add to your list. Tucked away in the woods outside Stamford Bridge, Feast by Fire offers guests the chance to reconnect with nature through food, fire and the surrounding landscape.
The pop up dining experience centres around an open fire, which acts as the heart of the restaurant. Guests can sit back and watch as their meal is cooked over the flames in front of them, creating a cosy and immersive atmosphere unlike anywhere else we’ve visited in Yorkshire.
Using local produce and ingredients foraged from the surrounding woodland, the menu changes regularly to reflect what is available seasonally. That means no two visits are ever quite the same, adding to the charm of the experience.

We visited for one of their Sunday feasts, which included a generous sharing board of lamb for the two of us. It felt like such a lovely way to spend quality time together, tucked away in the woods and sharing food beside the fire.

There’s something incredibly special about the whole concept. From the crackling flames and rustic woodland setting to the focus on local ingredients, it feels designed to slow you down and make you properly appreciate the experience.
For anyone looking for something a little different from the usual Yorkshire dining spots, Feast by Fire is a genuine hidden gem and one of the most memorable food experiences we’ve had.
