We are all looking to do a little exercise after overindulging this Christmas and the beach isn’t just for summertime. This beach in Yorkshire has been named one of the best in the UK for a winter walk.
The Yorkshire coast is made up of idyllic fishing villages, breathtaking clifftop views and wide stretches of sandy beaches. Whether it is a brisk walk with the dog on the beach or a family jaunt that ends with some fish & chips.
Robin Hood’s Bay was named the third-best beauty spot in the UK by Parkdean who unveiled the best beaches to visit for those looking for a last-minute staycation.
It was pipped to the top spot by Whitley Bay in Northumberland in second place and Brighton Beach in East Sussex. The rankings were created by looking at a range of factors including chances of snow, the number of cafes to warm up after, TikTok hashtags views, and average monthly online searches.
The red-roofed Robin Hood’s Bay rated 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor with an average of 4.9 snowy days. We couldn’t agree more with the results.
The picturesque spot also holds a dark past of smugglers and gangs walking its streets hundreds of years ago. But, nowadays it has fantastic opportunities for rock pooling and searching for fossils, quaint streets to explore and cafes and pubs to warm up after a nice walk.
Robins Hood Bay, located in the North York Moors National Park, also featured in the UK’s prettiest places making fourth in the list created by FBM Holidays.
