Fancy a sesh in Asda? No, this isn’t an April Fools. This is in fact a festive treat for customers to enjoy a freshly pulled pint or a Pornstar Martini whilst out shopping in this Asda in Leeds.
Pop-up bar Craft on Draft has opened exclusively in Pudsey’s Asda where customers will be able to pick from 12 beers on the menu as well as popular cocktails such as Strawberry Daquiri and Pornstar Martini.
The range of drinks will be ever-changing and is dispensed into refillable 500ml, 1L and 2L glass containers to take away to be enjoyed at home. These containers can be brought back into the store to be refilled and used again. 1L of craft beer or cider priced from £8 to £13
Can’t make it into store? Don’t worry you can order your Craft on Draft bevvies via delivery apps Deliveroo, Ubereats and “click and collect”. Beers on draft at the minute include Dia De Los Muertos by Hammerton Brewery and Little Fish by Good Brewing Co
Claire Cragg, Manager, Business Development & Strategic Partnerships at Asda, said: “We’re really pleased to be bringing this exciting concept to Asda Pudsey, just in time for Christmas.
“The Craft on Draft team’s expertise in the hospitality industry will bring a range of drinks to the store that are unlikely to be found elsewhere and that complement our strong existing beers, wines and spirits offer. The refillable element of the trial gives customers the chance to ick up a new tipple and make a small change to help them shop more sustainably.”
Andrew Thubron, Director at Craft on Draft, said: “We’re passionate about craft beers, ciders and cocktails and aim to showcase the best small-batch brews to bring something new and different to Asda customers. Although if they want to try them, they’ll need to be quick, because we only buy small-batch; once it’s gone, it’s gone.”
