This Yorkshire Restaurant Is Dedicated Entirely to Yorkshire Puddings

Yorkshire puddings are one of the county’s most beloved foods, but one restaurant in West Yorkshire has taken that love to a whole new level.

The Yorkie Cow in Ilkley is dedicated to celebrating the humble Yorkshire pudding, with almost every dish on the menu featuring the iconic Yorkshire staple. The restaurant is the brainchild of the team behind the popular Ilkley Cow and has quickly become a must-visit destination for Yorkshire pudding fans.

Instead of serving Yorkshire puddings as a side dish, The Yorkie Cow puts them front and centre. Guests can choose from a range of filled Yorkshire puddings, including its signature Yorkshire pudding baskets, packed with classic roast dinner-inspired fillings.

Keeping things traditional, options include slow-cooked beef brisket, lamb shank, and toad in the hole, all served with vegetables and hearty sides. Diners can also enjoy chunky chips and creamy garlic mash, which proved to be one of our favourite additions to the meal.

During our visit, we opted for the beef brisket Yorkshire pudding basket, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The giant Yorkshire pudding was overflowing with tender beef brisket, garlic mash, vegetables, and rich gravy, creating a feast that was every bit as satisfying as it looked.

One thing that quickly became apparent was the portion sizes. The servings are generously Yorkshire-sized, making this a restaurant where nobody is likely to leave hungry.

But the Yorkshire pudding celebrations don’t stop at the main course. For dessert, The Yorkie Cow has created a sweet take on the classic dish. Yes, that’s right – dessert arrives in the form of another Yorkshire pudding.

While it may sound unusual, the sweet Yorkshire pudding proved to be a real surprise. Light, indulgent, and packed with flavour, it offered a delicious twist on a Yorkshire favourite and was the perfect way to round off the meal.
