Two Yorkshire Cities Named In Top 3 ‘Most Dangerous’ Places To Live In The UK For Burglaries

Two Yorkshire places were named in the top three in the UK for the highest burglary rate along with Manchester, which came in second.

Doncaster in South Yorkshire was named third on the list of burglaries with the research done by, which analysed the number of burglaries across the UK between 2017 to 2021.

The news comes as Doncaster was recently named as a city for the Queen’s platinum jubilee that went ahead this weekend.

Middlesborough, which is technically a town took the top spot with the highest burglary rate across the country between 2017 to 2021 just beating out Manchester and Doncaster.

Speaking on the findings of the new research, Jessica Willock – Home Insurance Expert at – said: “Although burglary rates seem to be dropping year on year, it’s still as important to make sure your home is safe.
