Yorkshire folk, this is your moment in the spotlight! Shane Meadows, director of the Sheffield-filmed classic This is England, is looking for Yorkshire actors and actresses for a brand new drama.

Shaheen Baig Casting has put out a call on social media for a new upcoming drama on the BBC. The agency is looking for ‘confident, charismatic, ambitious and witty people’ for a drama set in the North of England.
The 2006 film ‘This Is England’ which The story centres on young skinheads in England in 1983, gave the chance for a lot of young actors to start their careers in the industry and now this could be your big break.
They are lloking for men & women between the ages of 25-45 years old of all ethnicities. Crucially, the people right for the part will have a natural Northern accent, ideally Yorkshire. The call is for ‘first time non professional actors’, so this could be the big break you didn’t know you were looking for.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to then email smcasting@shaheenbaigcasting.com including your name, contact details, where you are based, a short video clip less than a minute about yourself – which is clearly labelled/ idenfitable as you.
The deadline for applications is 10th April, so make sure that you act now if you want a chance to be in the next Shane Meadows production.
