A 1950s American-style ice cream parlour in the heart of Yorkshire? Well, I never! An awe-inspiring place full of nostalgic decorations, food & drink that looks like something straight out of Grease is a must-visit in the Yorkshire Dales region.

Billy-Bob’s Parlour in Skipton has combined a 1950s American ice cream parlour and diner with a fun-filled play area. So, the kids can enjoy running around in the playground before enjoying a milkshake or ice cream to help cool them down.
Whether you fancy stopping off for ice cream, the full 50s diner experience with a play area or a coffee and breakfast – this 50s diner with views of the Yorkshire Dales is the perfect stop off.

The parlour takes you on a nostalgic journey through all things the 1950s from an authentic Airstream that serves up expertly drawn espresso drinks.
They also have a restored 1940s Chicago soda stream, and a genuine American school bus that has been refurbed, so you can dine inside.

The booth-style seating is perfect for families to enjoy the tasty menu, which is filled with tasty fast food favourites such as homemade burgers, towering sundaes, and pancake and waffles stacks served with ice cream. There is also a great veggie menu, from fully loaded veggie dogs to yummy veggie burgers.

Outside kids can let their imaginations run wild with the excellent playground and that has wooden trains, planes and automobiles waiting to be clambered over by the little ones, against the backdrop of the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Don’t worry if the weather takes a turn for the worst, there are two undercover play barns, one for kids under seven and the other for kids over seven. You can find out more by visiting the website here.
