Summer may almost be over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! York Racecourse is hosting the ultimate party this summer that you won’t want to miss! Grab a bratwurst, beer and all things Bavarian at their huge beer festival coming this October!
That’s right! You can enjoy all things German at this unique festival without having to jump on a plane. Oktoberfest is a long-standing tradition in Germany that has been going on since 1810 in Munich, where citizens were encouraged to eat, drink and have fun at the wedding of Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria and his princess bride.
Step inside the giant marquee and enjoy a stein of authentic German beer and German-inspired food stalls in the heart of York with your friends and family. The rustic Bavarian Bar will not only keep you refreshed with beer also a range of wines, prosecco, spirits and soft drinks.
As well as beer and German food, you can expect traditional Oompah Brass bands taking to the stage with catchy tunes that will have you dancing on the tables.
If dancing on the tables doesn’t sound fun enough, then step into the funfair and enjoy all the classic rides with Dodgems, Twister, Speedway and Chair-o-Plane delivering thrills.
