BBC Confirms Celebrity Series Of ‘The Traitors’ With Rumoured Huge Stars

The Traitors has quickly become one of our favourite TV shows – and we aren’t the only ones that the psychological game show has gripped. The show has it all and the BBC has confirmed that the celebrity spin-off is on its way.

The show started back in 2022 and has quickly garnered a huge following. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the series sees a group of Faithfuls work together to hunt out the traitors to win up to £120,000 prize money.

If unsuccessful, the whole prize pot goes to the traitor as the second series of the UK show found with Harry’s final betrayal. It’s so good a third series has been announced. And, that’s not all. The BBC has also confirmed a fourth series AND a celebrity spin-off.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC said: “The Traitors has well and truly established itself as an unmissable highlight of the year and the news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level.”

“It will once again be fascinating for our audiences to see who’ll outwit, outplay, and outlast. Let the mind games begin!”

Mike Cotton, Creative Director of Unscripted at Studio Lambert and Executive Producer for The Traitors, added: “We are thrilled to be inviting some celebrities into our castle to come and play the game. Seeing famous faces navigate the round table or don the infamous green cloaks will be unmissable TV, and what a double treat for the fans with Series 4 also confirmed too.

“There’s a whole lot of exciting treachery and deception yet to come from the Highlands… Claudia’s going to have to pack some extra knitwear.”

The fourth series and celebrity version are scheduled to take place in 2025 and applications are open now, so don’t miss out.

The celeb lineup is yet to be announced, but there have been some celebs named.  Friends star Courteney Cox, Jonathan Ross and former Health Secretary Matt Hancock are just some of the names hinted at, according to LADbible, as well as Gary Lineker and Rylan Clark.
