This Coastal Glamping Site Lets You Camp Next To A Vineyard By The Sea

We may be bias, but we don’t think anywhere beats the Yorkshire coast, and situated right next to the coastline, Flamborough Glamping & Vineyard is one of the newest most unique stays you’ll encounter. Our very own riviera (yep, we’re gonna call it that) boasts some of the most impressive views that the region has to has to offer – and the white cliffs of Flamborough and Bempton are up there with the very best.

Opening this spring, Flamborough Glamping & Vineyard aims to offer a clean, safe and beautiful environment where you can relax with friends and family once lockdown is over. And there is a lot to offer in the area, too, from secluded beach walks, amazing nature walks and plenty of quaint friendly village pubs where you can pop in for a pick-me-up after exploring the surroundings. Then, in the evening, you can unwind at your own private pod overlooking their spectacular vineyard.

As you enter the site, guests are greeted by eight luxurious glamping pods that have been placed to ensure complete privacy and a sense of quiet. Each comes with its own en-suite bathroom, full-sized kitchen and plenty of living space to chill out. Step outside, and you’re met with majestic views of the coastline and the smell of the salty sea air that will help you shake off all the worries that life has brought to us over the past year. A much-needed sense of relaxation, if you ask us.

From your pod, you’ll be treat to views of the site’s very own vineyard – which was the brain-child of owners, architect & master planner Thomas Gaines and his wife Marina. Inspired by the lack of Yorkshire wines when visiting their local country pub, Michelin Star Pipe and Glass, they sought to learn about and experience local wines, before purchasing and planting 7,500 vines of their own in God’s Own Country.

Situated in a perfect place for a holiday, there is plenty to get up to within walking distance. Head North up the coast and you’ve got traditional seaside spots Filey, Scarborough and the peaceful Robin Hood’s Bay – and head South, you’ve got Bridlington, Hornsea, among other quieter coastal delights.
