Two Yorkshire Places Named In Top 15 Places To Visit In 2023

Two Yorkshire locations have been named best places to visit in the UK in 2023 by Time Out Magazine. As we look towards a new and hopefully more successful 2023 the popular travel magazine named its top 15 places to visit.

Topping the list was Eastbourne, which Time Out noted has a rising artistic and cultural hub. In second place was Birmingham which has an underrated food scene, and also has the Ashes returning next year, which will be a massive draw to tourists.

The third was Cardigan, the Welsh town which has been described as the most underrated spot in Wales. The first Yorkshire place in the Time Out top 15 lists is the oldest seaside town in the UK, everyone’s favourite, Scarborough.

Time Out placed Scarborough in 5th place, beating out the tourist behemoths such as London, Edinburgh and Liverpool. The return of its famous Scarborough Fair in 2023 is one of the reasons why. Also mentioned is its many micropubs such as micropubs like The Stumble Inn, Quayside Bar, The Frigate and Craft Bar along with Valley Bar in trendy South Cliff.

In Time Out’s perfect day out in Scarbrough, it mentions a brew from Yay Coffee’s little truck along the Esplanade with views over the South Bay, browsing vintage stores in the Old Town and a visit to the newly refurbished Market Hall whose windows look out towards the North Sea.

Just squeezing in the list is the steel city, Sheffield which features in 14th place in the best places to visit in 2023. Time Out explains that it is a combination of it being the greenest city in the UK and its vibrant food scene as a reason for visiting in 2023.

Also, the fact that two legendary Sheffield bands, Arctic Monkeys and Pulp are set for a return next year as well makes it the perfect chance to organise a trip to the city surrounded by seven hills.
