You know autumn has officially begun when Great British Bake off is announced and finally we’ve been given the thumbs up for its return to our screens.
Our favourite baking show will be back with a fresh batch of bakers in the tent for Great British Bake Off 2023 which airs on Tuesday 26th September on Channel 4.
This year sees popular This Morning presenter Alison Hammond take over from comedian Matt Lucas alongside Noel Fielding as co-presenter.
Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will be back to judge the new contestant’s bakes in the 14th run of the competition.
We are set for more showstoppers, technicals, star baker, and of course the Hollywood handshake – just writing it is getting us in the mood for a slice of cake.
We can’t wait for more edge of the seat stress levels as we find out whether or not someone’s dough is raw, jelly not set and more.
Alison Hammond is no stranger to the tent has baked on the Stand Up For Cancer shows, and back in March when she was announced as the new presenter said: “Finally I can talk about it! I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Great British Bake Off and can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers.
“It’s a huge honour to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started.”
