Harrogate is set to open Yorkshire’s first Gail’s bakery, as the fast expanding London cafe chain chooses the spa town for its debut in God’s Own Country.
Described as a premium bakery chain is ‘dedicated to craft of baking’ and has started its recruitment for the new Harrogate cafe.
Opening the first ever bakery in London’s Hampstead High Street in 2005 after starting life as a wholesale business in the 90s, Gail’s has gone from strength to strength. There are now 170 bakery and coffee shops across n places such as London, Oxford, Brighton and further afield.
Gail’s Bakery sets its stall out as a high quality, mid-range experience with hand baked goods and natural ingredients, Harrogate Advertiser reports.
Known for its sourdough bread, pastries and speciality coffees, it should fit right in among Harrogate’s town centre.
Gail’s Bakery said: “As we’ve grown, so has our menu and our community, yet our values have stayed the same.
“We take the time to make our bread, pastries, cakes, breakfasts and lunches as we always have – with care, by hand and according to the season – so that we don’t need to compromise on what we eat, whether we’re on the go, or taking time out in one of our bakeries.”
It’s said to open in time for summer.
