Next year will see the ‘biggest play structure on Earth’ find a home in the UK – and it’s Christmas all year round! Lilidorei is a £15 million fairytale wonderland full of elves, dwarves, pixies and fairies along with all things Xmas.
The brainchild of Jane Percy, the Duchess of Northumberland, set on the grounds of Alnwick Garden in Northumberland, its forty acres will be home to grottoes, and goblin lairs which will feature activities like climbing walls, mazes, zip lines, giant slides and more. There will also be food vendors available as well.
Alnwick Garden is better known for being used in the Harry Potter series where Alnwick Castle is featured as part of Hogwarts where Harry and the rest of his classmates were taught to ride broomsticks.
With an aim to attract around 280,000 visitors to Northumberland each year, Lilidorei will be open 365 days a year and is set to launch in spring 2023.
Parents will be able to buy an annual pass for £75 a year and there will also be ‘free Fridays which aims to allow primary school children to visit for free during term time and holidays.
