New Drama From Creator Of ‘Peaky Blinders’ Starring James Norton Is No.1 On Netflix

James Norton stars in the new Netflix drama House of Guinness, created by Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight. The show has become an instant hit, quickly climbing the charts to become the most-watched title on the platform.

Guinness is certainly having its moment, not only one of the most popular drinks in pubs, but now also the subject of Netflix’s number one show. The drama chronicles the famous Irish brewing family in the wake of the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man who built the company’s early success.

Norton plays Sean Rafferty, a Guinness foreman and fixer for the family. The Guinness siblings are portrayed by Anthony Boyle as Arthur, Louis Partridge as Edward, Emily Fairn as Anne, and Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin. The story follows the family as they grapple with the loss of their father while navigating the responsibilities and pressures of running the company.

Another standout performance comes from Jack Gleeson, best known as the despised Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones. Here, he plays Fenian Byron Hedges, a role in which he shines.

It’s easy to draw comparisons between Peaky Blinders and House of Guinness: two families facing hardship, navigating tough decisions, and surrounded by plenty of drink. But rather than focusing on a single dominant protagonist, this new series thrives on a rich mix of strong characters.

House of Guinness is now streaming on Netflix, so don’t miss it.
