Paul Heaton Puts Money Behind The Bar At Pubs In Scarborough Ahead Of Show Tomorrow

He’s at it again! Paul Heaton is set to play at Scarborough Open Air Theatre tomorrow night (Saturday 1st July) and has dipped into his pocket and put money behind a number of Scarborough bars so that people attending his gig tomorrow can have a pint on him.

The former frontman of Hull bands Housemartins and Beautiful South is set to take to the largest open-air theatre in Europe found on the Yorkshire Coast and announced free drinks as a “thank you” to his fans.

Heaton, whose career spans over four decades, is known for classic pop songs Happy Hour, Song For Whoever, Perfect 10 and many more.

It’s not the first time that Paul has done say he also put money behind 60 pubs across the UK for his 60th birthday so everyone can celebrate with him. And not the Sheffield lad has done the same in Scarborough.

A notification was posted to his social channels, which read: “Once again, as a thank you, and a small amount of help during the cost of greed crisis, Paul is leaving some money behind the bar at a few local pubs in Scarborough so that some of you attending the show on Saturday can have a drink on him (until the money runs out, or the bar runs dry!).”
