Peter Kay Adds New Leeds Dates Due To The Massive Demand

As tickets for Peter Kay’s areana tours become the must-have tickets of the year, the Bolton comedian has already had to announce more dates with O2 priority tickets in huge demand this morning.

Along with other cities across the country, Leeds First Direct Arena has a new date of Friday 9th September announced. This is on top of the announced dates of January 20th and May 19th.

We can all enjoy Peter’s best catchphrases and classic observational standup across the UK as he goes on tour for the first time since 2011. He’s coming to Leeds and Sheffield on his 2022 to 2023 arena tour.

Securing tickets for the comedian’s tour is proving difficult for many fans. Adding insult to injury Peter Kay resale tickets are popping up on sites for up to £1,000.

The O2 priority site crashed as tickets were released this morning, and the rest of the tickets are set to go on sale Saturday morning.

A Virgin Media O2 spokesperson said: “We’ve seen unprecedented levels of visitors to our Priority platform for Peter Kay tickets. As a result, some customers are experiencing difficulties trying to use the app and website despite us putting additional resource in place to help cope with such demand. We apologise and we’re doing everything we can to get it back up and running as soon as possible.”

Tickets will be available on Saturday here.
