Popular British Fashion Brand To Open First Northern Store In Yorkshire

The first permanent Northern store for popular British fashion brand Scamp & Dude is set to open in Harrogate. The new store will be located opposite Harrogate railway station at 2-3 James Street.

It will span more than 2,100 sq ft across two floors and will stock the brand’s full womenswear collection. It will also include Scamp & Dude’s signature Bolt Room – a large fitting room which groups can book to try on clothes with complimentary refreshments.

The brand also plans to run a programme of events year-round at the prominent site on one of Harrogate’s main shopping streets. It’s ideally located next to the railway, giving customers travelling from Leeds and York easy access, as well as those travelling from further afield, such as London or Edinburgh.

The brand was founded by Jo Tutchener Sharp OBE in 2016 and has stores in Marlow, Brighton and Battersea Power Station. She said it took more than three years to find a suitable site in the Yorkshire spa town.

Founder and CEO Jo Tutchener Sharp OBE said: “We’ve wanted a store in Harrogate for such a long time. It’s taken us over three years to find the perfect spot, so it’s long overdue, and celebrating our 10th anniversary this year makes the moment even more special.
