Sean Bean, one of, if not the most iconic Yorkshireman is set to narrate a new film to promote Yorkshire. The Sheffield-born star is known for his love of Yorkshire, but is it his favourite county?
Bean is no stranger to promoting Yorkshire, his Yorkshire Tea advert where he assumes a character, not dissimilar to his popular Game of Thrones role Ned Stark in which he proclaims for a group of new recruits “Do it for Yorkshire!”.
In spite of his obvious love for Yorkshire, the 63-year-old actor lives in Somerset along the south coast of England. Living in Somerset, he once said: “In Somerset, I feel as if I’ve really found the place where I feel settled and content”, according to Somerset Live.

Bean grew up in the 1960s and 1970s but has found peace in the West Country. He’ll be the voice of the cinematic film campaign Project Yorkshire, which is set to showcase ‘God’s Own Country’ to millions of people worldwide.
One of the filmmakers behind the project, Sid Sadowskyj, said: “It’s been a huge honour to work with him on this project as it’s clear it means just as much to him to champion his home county as it does to us.
When asked in an interview to name his favourite place on earth, Bean replied: “If this is a heart thing, then it would probably be my home town, Sheffield. If it is somewhere now that I’ve chosen to be, it’s here in Somerset.”
Bean is a keen Sheffield United fan with a tattoo that reads “100% Blade”. If that’s not dedication, we don’t know what is.
