A well-deserved win for the popular East Yorkshire restaurant and takeaway Sumo Pan Asian last night on the BBC food show Britain’s Top Takeaways.
Taking to their social media channels Flemingate in Beverley congratulated the noodle specialists on their win writing:
Sumo Pan Asian has restaurants in Hessle and Beverley and strode to victory on the BBC food show last night. Gary and Scott represented the East Yorkshire restaurant proudly with the second win in East Yorkshire after a win from Hull-based Dope Burger, which won the best burger earlier this month.
The East Yorkshire eatery, Sumo, whose aim is to bring the best of East Asian cooking to Yorkshire serves up delicious such as katsu curry, bao buns, and award-winning noodles dishes and even some tasty cocktails. Yorkshire seems to be the best place for takeaways as Sheffield based kebab, Enver’s Turkish Grill took the gold this week as well.
The BBC show is proving popular, presented by Sara Cox and comedian Darren Harriott the show aims to highlight the UK’s top takeaways by pitting them against one another serving the grub up to five hungry families.
