We all know that heading out for a few drinks in the day and getting home before Coronation Street is so much better than dancing in a sweaty nightclub at 2am – and it seems like people are in agreement. After a sell out event over Easter weekend a strictly over 30s club night is heading to Leeds once more.
Day Fever is the event for millennials, which was created by Line of Duty star Vicky McClure – and the event comes with an strict age limit and aims to get you in bed at a reasonable hour – which is music to our ears here at The Yorkshireman.
The event is co-founded with the legendary Jon McClure of Sheffield indie band Reverend and the Makers, who often DJs the daytime discos that are described as a part that ‘doesn’t ruin your Sunday’. This is great for us – as we love to be out and about the next day.

Day Fever – a lovely little pun on the popular Bee Gee’s tune Night Fever – kicks out at 3pm instead of the usual 10pm opening times for nightclubs – allowing for a more civilised finishing time. But, other than that, it’s much like your usual night club with great tunes, and offering an environment where you can let your hair down (what’s left of it).

The event is very self aware and leans into the nostalgia with old TV shows, films and adverts played throughout the event on a big screen.
The Day Fever event has been selling out across the UK, so if you’re wanting to visit the new date which is on 5th May 2024 at Project House – you’ll have to act fast.
