Walkers Is Launching Crisp Sarnie Shops Across The UK For A Limited Time

We love a crisp buttie – and after Yorkshire being home to the world’s first bottomless crisp party – Walkers crisp announcement that it’s partnering with a selection of UK sandwich shops is music to our ears.

There’s no guilty pleasure about it crisps lift a sandwich in any scenario, and on June 12th a range of shops across the UK will be experimenting with the crisp and sarnie combos.

The shops across the UK will be running their crisp sandwich combos for one week only. Expect a menu of unique crisp sandwich creations, with regional specialities.

Walkers’ research says that 98% of UK adults believe crisps make a sandwich better – you can’t argue with those numbers.

According to the snack brand’s research, 98% of UK adults believe that crisps make sandwiches better – so it’s clear the collaborations will have widespread appeal.

The venues across the UK haven’t yet been announced. But ‘sandwich guru’ and Max’s Sandwich Shop owner, Max Halley’s London-based crisp shop will be involved.

Shops will be using all kinds of crisps such as Quavers, Wotsits, and Monster Munch and more to create their special combos.

Max’s Halley’s ‘Might Monster Muncher’ is a fish finger sandwich, with cabbage, chipotle mayonnaise and Pico De Gallo on home-baked Focaccia. 

Philippa Pennington at Walkers said: “Last year the residents of Sandwich voted “Crisp In” as the winning combination, but this year we’re widening the debate to showcase the wide range of crisp and sandwich combinations – from classic Walkers crisps through to Wotsits and Monster Munch.

“With Walkers Sandwich Shops located across the UK, we’re calling on people to head to their nearest shop, taste the sandwiches and have their say online by sharing their favourite combination from the menu, or favourite crisps to enjoy in a sandwich.”
