Following a number of successful runs, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, in Doncaster, has announced the grand return of their Winter Illuminations event, providing families with the perfect way to celebrate the festive season.
The festive fun launched on Friday 17th November. Consisting of twinkling lights and giant lanterns that will trail 2,400 metres, the beautiful trail promises to be ‘bigger and better’ than ever before, with ample hand-crafted lanterns to awe at as you walk through.
New display themes for 2023 include ‘Space Odyssey’ and ‘The Spirit of Christmas’. Over the next few weeks, the park will be lit up after dark with a spectacular display made up of over 2.5km of lights and lanterns. Designs come in all shapes and sizes.
In addition to the trail – which is wheelchair accessible – guests will be able to enjoy festive food and drink along the way, including pastries, pizza, sandwiches, fries, and more.
In addition to the epic illuminated trail, guests will also be able to enjoy a festive tipi bar, breakfast with Santa, and a wholesome Christmas market with over 30 chalet stalls, Victorian fairground rides, live music, and more.
Classic festive grub will also be available at the fair, including bratwurst, crepes, mulled wine, and hot chocolates.
YWP will also be hosting fantastic Christmas market with over fifty festive stalls every weekend including a Christmas tipi, Santa’s grotto and fairground rides – so plenty for all the family to enjoy.
