This Yorkshire Chippy Is Serving Chip Filled Battered Yorkshire Puddings For Christmas

A chippy tea is a top tier meal and can be enjoyed even more so at Christmas time. Knowing what the people want, this family-run chippy has combined the two great Yorkshire favourites and created a battered Yorkshire pudding filled with chips – yum!

Inspired by the popularity of their battered chip butties, the owner of Franks Fish and Chip shop in Woodland, in Doncaster, Paul Sung decided to give it a festive twist with a Yorkshire classic. The end result sounds absolutely amazing and we are jealous of anyone that has been able to give this bad boy a try.

Served with your choice of homemade gravy, curry or peas it’s a meal in a Yorkshire pudding. We are big fans of alternative Yorkshire pudding recipes and filling them with weird and wonderful things so this is music to our ears.

You can enjoy this inspired meal alongside another firm festive favourite battered pigs in blankets – which is another beloved Christmas favourite given Franks makeover.

Posting the news of his festive treats to the chippy’s Instagram page he wrote: “Come & Try It👌😋🍽🔥“Christmas Special” Food With a Twist😋 Battered Pigs in Blanket’s & The Mighty Battered Yorkshire Chip Pudding, it’s A Yorkshire Pudding with Chips Inside with a choice of (Mushy Peas, Homemade Curry, Homemade Gravy Or Heinz Baked Beans as a Filling Fried in Batter hmm”

Mmmm indeed, the family-run fish & chip shop which has been going since 1984 obviously know what they’re doing and with that many years of experience behind them, it’s not going to be bad, is it?

You can enjoy this fantastic meal, using the Hull-based Aunt Bessies Yorkshire pudding for just £2 – an absolute bargain in our eyes. But, be quick because once they sell out they’re gone!
