If you’re looking for a family holiday with plenty to do, caravan sites are the perfect places. They have a range of activities from swimming pools, mini-golf to amazing walks. They’re usually situated near places fo interest so are the perfect hub to use as a base as you explore Yorkshire’s towns, cities and countryside. Usually very reasnoably priced, you got a lot for your money as well. We’ve hunted down the best caravan holidays Yorkshire has to offer – which have great things for the kids to do as well as decent bars and pubs close by for the parents to relax.

1. Haven Blue Dolphin Holiday Park, Filey

Just a short drive away from Filey’s award-winning beach, Blue Dolphin holiday park is the perfect stay for a family that wants everything all in one place. It houses the Brigghouse bar and restaurant on-site as well as an indoor and outdoor swimming pool – not to mention its thrilling walks along the clifftops. 2. Flower of May, Scarborough
Scarborough is one of our favourite seaside towns, mainly because it has such great fish & chips. The Flower of May is another great family stay as it has a wonderful leisure complex with an indoor swimming pool and soft-multi court as well as a bar with family lounge and an adult lounge. It also has a great mini-market for if you are wanting to self-cater. Scarbrough beaches are wonderful to explore as it has some great walks and plenty of places to explore. 3. Fir Tree Park, Bridlington

Sticking with the coast still, Bridlington has a beautiful promenade to walk along and enjoy the sea views as well as some of the best beaches in the UK. The caravan park is another family-friendly place to stay as it has an indoor pool, children’s playground and a bar complex for family as well as an adult lounge. 4. Rudding Holiday Park, Harrogate

Our first in-land venue on the list, this caravan park on the outskirts of Harrogate is a beautiful place for summer holidays with the family. They have spacious grass spaces. There is plenty to keep busy with as they have a, game room & playground, cinema, spa, outdoor swimming pool, gardens and the most popular activity -golf. It also has a family pud, The Deerhouse and is dog-friendly – they even have their own dog exercise area. 5. Black Bull Caravan Site, Pickering

A family fun caravan park, Black Bull is located on the edge of the North York Moors and is a great pace to stay if you fancy visiting Whitby and Robin Hood Bay which both have the most idyllic coastline. The site boast spacious plots and lots fot the family to do such as playgrounds and mini-golf for the kids as well as a games room and even a dog walking route for you and your pooch to enjoy, There are also Dalby Forest and Flamingo Land Theme Park nearby. 6. Haven Primrose valley, Filey

This holiday park is huge and packed full of fun things to do. It ahs direct beach access, so you can stroll out onto the beach each morning. It also has a beautiful lake that is great for fishing or riding around on some pedalos. It has a great indoor pool that has a multi-lane waterslide as well as a heated outdoor pool. If you’re feeling daring you can try out their Aerial Adventure course. You can enjoy some food withthe family in The Lakehouse restaurant or wander into Bridlington and enjoy some fish & chips. 7. Burton Constable Holiday Park

Set in the idyllic East Yorkshire in a rural setting this holiday park is close to the coast as well as Beverley and Hull. It’s a 5* holiday park that has plenty to do from country walks, cycling, fishing to enjoying a pint in their Lakeside Bar & Beer Garden. They also have themed events on and beautiful parkland. 8. Old Station Yard Caravan & Camping Park, Ripon

This secluded caravan park is on the Old Station site, and is a nice peaceful stay, If you love a good ramble, you’ll have plenty of fun here as they have lots of excellent walks in the Dales to get stuck into of varying length. 9. Thorpe Hall Estate, Rudston

This campervan site is on the grounds of a Grade II listed building in East Yorkshire and boasts some stunning views. It’s only a few miles from Bridlington set in beautiful countryside. Whilst there why not try some coarse fishing on the lcake or enjoy a nature walk or guided tour. It has some amazing ancient and natural woodlands wals with streams, lakes and magical landscapes to enjoy. This is a great family run award-winnning Caravan park in the heart of God’s Own Country. Near to Yorkshire’s beautiful coastal towns Scarborough, Whitby, FIley and Bridlington.
