Eager England fans have been in the pub since 7am this morning ahead of tonight’s game against Germany. Supporters were spotted on Good Morning Britain in a beer garden in Sheffield on the ale 10 hours before kick off.

England will face Germany in the first round of the knock out stages at Wembley tonight at 5pm. Fans are excited to see Gareth Southgate’s side play another brilliant game after their last electric group game that saw them top their group.
Wearing England Shirts, fans were enjoying a beer, someone shared on Twitter a post that read: “It’s 7.11am and England fans are in the pub already. That’s the most English thing I’ve seen for weeks.”

There have been a lot of suggestions for bosses to let staff leave early today so football fans can watch their national side take on Germany in the Euros 2020.
Frances O’Grady the general secretary TUC said: “Bosses should talk to their staff and try to let people who want to watch games do so – at work or at home – and then claim back the time afterwards.”
England manager said tonight’s game, “It’s a great opportunity for this team to make some history and give people memories of England-Germany fixtures for the future, that are a little different to some of the ones they’ve been flooded with over the last few days which mean absolutely nothing to them because they weren’t born.”
We can’t agree more, everyone remembers where they were for some of England’s most memorable moments and it seems a shame to take that from anyone. Where will you be watching the game tonight?

If you’re looking for a pub with the right grub for the occassion head over to The Fleece in West Yorkshire. They’re serving up loaded fries Yorkshire puds that are the perfect accompaniment for the footie.
