As much as we love Yorkshire, there’s nothing like getting away for a bit of sun or a city break in one of Europe’s many historic spots. And, a new survey has shown that if you are going away, Leeds Bradford is one of the top airports in the UK – great stuff!
A recent survey by Which? consumer magazine who asked nearly 4,000 of its members to tell them about their experience at airports across the UK in the last year.
The consumer group, Which? published the results of 24 airports including individual terminals, looking at a range of factors such as check-in, bag-drop, security and passport control, as well as baggage claim, seating, staff, prices in shops, range of shops and toilets.
The results showed that the smaller airports such as Leeds Bradford faired better, which is interesting. Yorkshire’s largest airport had a customer score of 58% puttting it in 8th place.
Topping the list was Liverpool John Lennon with 82%, London City in 2nd with 78%, and Southampton in 3rd with 77%.
For two years running the Doncaster Sheffield airport topped the list with a satisfaction score of 85% with travellers praising the staff and faultless service giving the staff five stars. It also gained five stars for queues, baggage claim, seating and toilets. But it sadly closed last year after a long battle to save the regional airport.
