Fancy a cheeky last minute getaway? Northern Rail has launched a flash sale with over a million tickets on offer across the North of England from just £1.
The Northern Rail flash sale is a part of their Go Do Your Things for less campaign and there is no promotional code needed. Just use the site or app as you would usually do and select your travel dates and your Advance Purchase Tickets.
Northern, the second largest train operator in the UK has 2,000 services a day and more than 500 stations in the North of England so you have plenty of options.

Posting to social media the Northern Rail Instagram post read: “Our FLASH Sale is now live! 5 million train tickets available from just 50p. Buy online or via the Northern app now.”
The flash sale featuring 5 million train tickets for as little as 50p is amazing if you’re looking for a cheap day out, a weekend away or just fancy something different.
For those naysayers out there, there are 1 million tickets at 50p, 3 million £1 tickets and 1 million £1.50 tickets – once they’re gone, they’re gone!
You can make even bigger savings with half-price tickets for children available which would mean just 25p, 50p and 75p (and under 5s are FREE!).
The sale exclusively applies to the following routes:
- Leeds to Manchester
- Manchester to Liverpool
- Halifax to Hull
- Sheffield to Manchester.
- Leeds to Nottingham
- Leeds to Lincoln
- Leeds to Sheffield via Moorthorpe
- Leeds to Sheffield via Castleford
- Leeds to Chester
- Leeds to Wigan
- Leeds to Huddersfield from 29th January
Tickets can be found online or via the Northern app and are valid for travel between 17th January and 7th Mark 2023.
