Everyone’s favourite sheep farmer, the Yorkshire Shepherdess made an appearance at The Game Fair in Hertford where she discussed life on the farm and how she finds ‘peace’ in her work.
It’s easy to see why she made need peace with her hectic schedule. Author, farmer, TV and social media personality plus the mother of nine children. It really is admirable – I hardly find time to drink my brew sometimes.

Speaking at The Game Fair, in Hertford Amanda said: “You can lose yourself and distance yourself from everyone and everything. Once I go out of that door to work it is back to basics.
“My home life is busy and chaotic, but my work life is solitary. Too much of each one is not good, but living in a remote place gives me peace and quiet.”
Working on Ravenseat Farm seems like the perfect office to us. Surrounded by greenery, Owen finds it easy to switch off from life stresses – of which she has a few at the moment- and get back to nature, which is something that we could all learn a lesson from.

“Hazel & Maple meet Tony the Pony. Tony is taking on the roll of sensible companion very seriously #horse #pony #heavyhorse #littleandlarge.”
The Owen family kept us sane with the Channel 5 show in lockdown with the beautiful scenery and wholesome family content and we can’t wait for more of it in the coming months from series 6 of Our Yorkshire Farm.
