The UK’s and The Yorkshireman’s favourite pizza place is set to open its 11th restaurant in Steel City this June. Rudy’s Neapolitan Pizza is coming to Sheffield city centre with authentic Neapolitan pizza like you’ve never stated before.
The relaxed neighbourhood pizzeria will be situated at the former Lonestar Site on one of the city’s busiest parts of the city, Division Street.
Since founding its first Neapolitan pizzeria in Ancoats, Manchester, the famous pizza chain has expanded to nine locations, including one near the station in Leeds.
They were able to maintain a relaxed atmosphere while offering some of the best pizza you’ve ever had, allowing them to expand the brand without sacrificing quality.
It’s amazing, to say the least, so much so that the pizza gurus at Big7 named it the fifth finest pizza in Europe. That’s right, you read that correctly, the continent as a whole. – and it’s coming to Sheffield.
Rudy’s follows the original Neapolitan style of pizza creation, delivering classic recipes including Marinara, Margherita, and Calabrese, all of which originate in Naples, the birthplace of pizza.
Rudy’s dough is created fresh daily using Caputo ’00’ flour that has been fermented for at least 24 hours, coupled with the highest quality ingredients imported twice a week from Naples, including San Marzano tomatoes farmed on fields near Mount Vesuvius and Fior di Latte mozzarella.
It’s all about the pizza at Rudy’s, and they make it the traditional Neapolitan way. Every day, the dough is produced fresh on site and cooked for only 60 seconds in wood-fired ovens, in keeping with Neapolitan pizza tradition, leaving it soft and floppy with a leopard-patterned cornichon (crust).
They also serve a range of drinks alongside its tasty pizzas such as Italian classic Aperol Spritz, and refreshing summer drink San Pellegrino.
